Here are some articles/blogs from this past week that you’ll find helpful as you work with young adults in your church and community.
- “59 Percent of Millennials Raised in a Church Have Dropped Out – And They’re Trying to Tell Us Why” by Sam Eaton
This is one of the most honest articles I’ve read in a while concerning young adults and the church. Eaton is a millennial that loves Jesus and the church. He gives an honest view of why young adults simply aren’t connecting to the church.
- “Shelters for Trafficking Victims Aid Their Healing” by Grace Thornton
Human trafficking is not just a conversation among young adults in other countries, but is a crucial discussion in communities all over the United States. Thornton discusses some ministries that are making a difference and identifies some ways our churches can become aware of what’s going on in their communities.
- “Redeemed to Go: A Rescued Refugee Returns to Africa with the Gospel” by International Mission Board Staff
This article tells the story of a young woman who came to the U.S. as a young girl but is returning to Africa to be a light of the gospel. A 5 minute video is also included. This is such a powerful story!
