Do you have those people you just love being surrounded by? You know, the ones who “get you” and who leave you feeling energized and encouraged. We recently had our National Collegiate Leadership Summit (this event only happens once every three years), and I was surrounded by over 700 of those types of people—MY people.
It was quite the party, filled with great networking but also with incredible content, as ministry leaders and practitioners shared during the main sessions and multiple breakouts.
In case you missed it—or, if you were there and want to re-live some of the great teaching moments, here are some of the top quotes from the event.
Here are a few other quotes from the event that might help you in your ministry:
“You’re planting for a harvest you may not get to see in your own ministry.” -Tom Richter
“Being a sinner isn’t a disqualification from following Jesus. It’s a prerequisite.” -Tom Richter
“Every single student on your college campuses is deeply searching for glory. That is the primary motivating factor of everybody on your campuses whether they know Christ or not.” -Russell Moore
“As much time as we spend dealing with cognitive arguments and difficult moral and ethical discipleship issues, we have to be working to create genuine and real alternative community.” -Russell Moore
“Change your schedule around what God is doing. That’s what Jesus did.” -Doug Schaupp
“People are no longer asking, ‘Where will I go when I die?’ They’re now asking, ‘How do I live now?’” -Gabe Lyons
“Don’t be afraid to invest in just the few.” -Chuck Lawless
“We can’t build God’s kingdom and our kingdoms at the same time.” -Chuck Lawless
If you missed Collegiate Summit this year, we’ll be back in May of 2021. In the meantime, we’d love to have you join us to be a part of the Leader Track at Collegiate Week, which is always the first full week of August every year!
